Have a Blessed Independence Day!

I truly am thankful to God for the freedom that America represents. But who is truly free?

John 8:31-32 – 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

So, wherever you are in the world, if you abide in Jesus’ word, you can be free as well! May you seek the truth and abide in God’s word so that you also can experience the freedom that God intended for all of us to have. May the Spirit of God and the liberty he brings be with you on this special day of American history. 😀

Note: This post was edited after I read savedsoul’s comment and realized that I left out a pretty important point. I replaced the previous Bible verse I used [2 Corinthians 3:17] with the verse now seen in this post. 🙂

God Bless you and your family as well.

Freedom was obtained for us on the cross by the sheding of the precious life blood of Jesus Christ. God gave his only son so that we can live in freedom from sin. He is our savior, and anyone who belives in him is free from sin and given the gift of salvation.

Abide in him and you will truly be free

    Praise God

savedsoul, thank you for your reminder that true freedom is obtained by abiding in God’s Word. I have since updated my post to reflect that key point. Praise God that He is so good to us and that He gives us the opportunity to be free indeed!
